"Curious as to how many of you harvest and save your own flower seed?
It's odd that for all the years I've been gardening, I only just recently (as in within the last 6 years) started to save and germinate (hopefully sad ) my own seed. Very rewarding. Not to mention frugal, which to most gardeners is enough of an incentive to do it! big_smile

| I save a few. Our farmstand is open today. During slow times I'll be at the edge of the woods gathering columbine seeds. I'm going to try starting them in the greenhouse next spring. I also occasionally save pansy, viola and johnny jump up seeds but usually let them go to seed and take care of themselves. I have seeds from a bulb I grow in the house. I'll be starting a new thread with questions about that. |
